ADNU: Autonomous University
Last June 2, 2008, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted the autonomous status to the Ateneo de Naga University, making the university the 11th in the list of the automous universities in the Philippines. In fact, the Ateneo de Naga University is the only university in the Southern Luzon and the fourth outside Metro Manila to receive the said privilege. Because of this, the Ateneo de Naga University shall enjoy the privileges of being exempted from the issuance of Special Order for its graduates and of being free from the regular monitoring and evaluation of CHED. They shall also enjoy the grant of subsidies from CHED and the privilege to offer new courses or programs. |
